I got a lot out of this class. I've been to drawing classes where we're just told to draw without much guidance or instruction. Lucas gave us a framework and approach that was really helpful. We had a lot of time to draw. The class was maybe a dozen people so we got plenty of individual attention. The only suggestion I would make would be to give the students a chance to introduce themselves to one another. It would be nice to have a little bit more of a community. I'll definitely be back next week. -

I took my first class in long pose figure drawing with Roy. He is a phenomenal teacher and artist. I was feeling very out of my league having never drawn based on a live model but he quickly guided me and put me at ease. The vibe of the class was relaxed and the small group was perfect since we all got a lot of attention and there were regulars in the class who were very friendly. I highly recommend this class and Roy as a teacher! -

The models are great. Each week there's someone different but all are very professional and assume a variety of interesting poses. Poses during each session are as short as one minute and as long as 20 minutes. This really challenges me to capture the model's essence regardless of how long I have to draw. The atmosphere is non-competitive and non-threatening. We don't critique each other but we do compliment each other during breaks on a very casual basis. The host of the class keeps everything very casual, provides snacks and always has a great playlist which creates a great atmosphere in which to draw. -
