In this class, you and a friend will work together to design and make ONE lamp as a collaborative team. At least one participant must be 18 years of age or older.
Our comprehensive copper lamp workshop provides you with all the essential tools, carefully selected materials, and creative inspiration necessary to craft a fully functional and beautiful working lamp. You will illuminate your life with a stylish and distinctive Edison bulb that exemplifies maker craftsmanship. If you would like your visitors to appreciate the fact that you personally created this impressive lamp with your own hands and skills, you will need to find an organic way to mention it in conversation, since the finished product does not obviously broadcast its handmade origins.

Please take note: You are highly likely to develop a passion for the maker lifestyle, and the only effective remedy for this fulfilling enthusiasm is to participate in additional WORKSHOPS and continue making more amazing projects.
Building a copper lamp delivers an incredibly satisfying and rewarding experience of creative fulfillment from engaging with fire and heat in a safe and controlled environment. Not only will you manipulate shiny copper pipes and arrange them into your custom artistic design of choice (this is where experience with building and spatial planning becomes invaluable), but you will also harness and direct the power of fire as you skillfully solder together the copper joints of your unique creation.
This is a beginner-level workshop, meaning that no prior knowledge or experience with copper pipe fitting, soldering, or metalworking is required. However, there are absolutely no restrictions on how creative, ambitious, and distinctive your finished lamp design can be.

Tools You Will Master and Techniques You Will Learn: You will use straightforward hand tools to precisely cut copper pipe to your exact specifications. We will introduce and teach you the rewarding craft and skill of soldering, using a propane torch to safely and securely connect the pieces of your lamp.
