Within spiritual symbolism, a mandala is a geometric figure representing the universe. Modern psychology mandalas can represent the ego and self. Using repetitive patterns to create mandalas stimulates focus, relaxation, and access to transcendental states of mind and being.
In this workshop we create mandalas of intention to call in the aspects of our lives we want to empower through the process of painting and printing. To create our mandalas we will learn how to make our own paints from natural sources by engaging with the techniques of natural dying and egg tempera paint making.
Expect to:
- Explore the history and significance of Mandalas.
- Create your own paint through egg tempera processing.
- Be guided in meditation for setting the intention of your mandala.
- Explore the colors, textures, shapes, symbols of your intention.
- Drawing and painting to bring your mandala to life.
- Create a connection between your mandala and your heart through breath and guided activation.
- Reflections shared by the group to close.
