Class Description

Description

This course provides comprehensive guidance for developing a visually unified and conceptually cohesive collection of photographic work. Through structured weekly peer reviews, image sequencing and editing activities, and collaborative concept-building discussions, students refine their artistic vision and strengthen their distinctive visual voice as photographers. Instruction addresses essential topics, including long-term project management strategies, systematic image organization, compositional consistency, narrative approaches, and visual communication principles that help photographs work together as a unified body of work.

This course welcomes artists of all technical levels who wish to establish or complete a photographic project while building skills in thoughtful critique and articulate discussion of visual work.

Participants should arrive prepared to share work for peer feedback, whether presenting initial concepts accompanied by sample images, works in progress, or previously completed projects requiring refinement and editing.

Upon completing this course, students will have developed a carefully curated and cohesive edited collection of photographs along with analytical tools they can apply to photographic practice throughout their careers.
