Class Description

Description

Experience the art of wheel throwing with personalized instruction carefully tailored for two participants learning together. Our comprehensive lesson includes all materials, tools, and your preferred choice of glaze finish. Create as many pieces as you desire at a standard fee, and pick up your handcrafted creations within three to five weeks after completion.

Our two-person wheel throwing lesson includes expert instruction, quality clay, specialized tools, firing fees for one piece, and your choice of glaze colors and finishes. You are welcome to fire as many additional pieces as you would like at our standard student firing fee of six cents per cubic inch of material.

Note: One piece per person is included with the class fee; any additional pieces you wish to fire are charged at $4 each.

Pricing: $175 for one person, $250 for two people. Please email [email protected] if you wish to register for the one-person ticket option.

Wheel throwing workshops last approximately two to two and one-half hours, and your finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately three to five weeks after your class concludes.

Jewel was an expert and they were super patient and really helped us understand how to use the wheel, how to prep our clay, how to comeback from mistakes, and when to just call some of those mistakes! We had a great afternoon and highly recommend this class!

Such an excellent way to be introduced to wheel throwing! Our instructor Siri was excellent— she explained the process well, and was very helpful as we encountered new questions and created new problems. We made multiple pieces each, and while only one firing is included in the class fee, the firing fee for additional pieces is so inexpensive that we ended up deciding to keep everything we made. We may be back to take more classes and learn more advanced skills :D

Clear, friendly instruction, lots of attempts to play around on the wheel, in a large workspace where more professional people were working and lots of cool work on the walls for inspiration. Price felt exactly right. Very messy, very fun!
