Class Description

Description

Throwing shouldn't leave you with an achy back or sore wrists!

In this workshop, we'll give your body a warm up before putting it to work at the wheel. We'll pair simple exercises with each stage of the throwing process: glutes for wedging, core for seated posture, pecs for centering, and lumbricals for pulling. You'll learn which muscles should be doing the work and how to engage them for more stability and less strain.

You'll leave with a better sense of how your body should feel throughout the throwing process, plus a take home list of exercises to help keep those muscles active between sessions.

Please note: The This workshop does not include firing or open studio time. Yaro students and members are welcome to keep any work and fire at the usual rates.
