Clay Camp but for teens and adults! This pottery program is designed for anyone who wants to quickly learn or strengthen their skills on the potter’s wheel in a supportive, hands-on environment.
This Intensive “adult clay camp” focuses on basic wheel throwing techniques. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of throwing while more advanced students will review their techniques and target their difficulties while challenging themselves with new shapes and sizes. The glazing class will meet one week, to a few weeks later.
With small class sizes and focused instruction, this program offers a fun and rewarding way to dive into wheel throwing, whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your skills.
This 15 hours program is the perfect class for beginners and intermediate level students who would like to learn or perfect their skills on the potter’s wheel, in a short time period.
- Evening Wheel Throwing Intensive will meet twice a week for 2 weeks
- Day Time Wheel Throwing Intensive will meet 4 times in one week or twice a week for 2 weeks.
To complete the experience, students return for a 3-hour glazing workshop where you will glaze your finished pieces and watch your creations come to life.

- 8 Hours of bench time between the first and last wheel throwing class
- Firing: 4 cents per cubic inch
What you will need for class
Participants should bring their own individual tool kit, apron and towel to each class.
