Class Description

Description

Filet crochet is a classic technique that creates grid-like patterns using open and filled squares. Beautiful filet crochet banners and accessories are all over social media these days... and for good reason! This technique is perfect for graphic illustrations and text.

In this workshop, you'll learn:

  • Yarn & hook information
  • How to create crochet mesh
  • How to fill in spaces using filet crochet techniques
  • How to follow a filet crochet chart
  • How to block finished crochet to even out and relax your stitches

Students will choose from a selection of designs to stitch and get started on their favorite during class!

Basic crochet skills are required to attend this workshop. You must be confident in the following:

  • Chain stitches
  • Either single crochet or double crochet

This is an advanced beginner workshop. Students must know arrive knowing how to:

  • Chain
  • Single crochet

Must have completed at least one project in the recent past!

If you're a total newbie or need a refresher, take one of our Crochet 101 workshops first!

All materials needed for class are available to be purchased at our shop in person or online as a local pick up order at a 10% student discount. Please note, within 24 hrs of registering for the workshop, you will receive a discount code for the materials needed. For Crochet 101 you will need:

Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.

  • If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
  • Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases
  • We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
  • Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting/ out of town instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!
  • In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

Refund Processing Fees:

  • The following only applies in the event a provider’s cancellation/refund policy allows for cancellations and a full refund, please see above or contact CourseHorse to determine eligibility.
  • In the event a class is still going to occur and a full refund is requested, and you are eligible for a full refund in accordance with the provider’s policy, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
