Description

This intensive three-day course will introduce you quickly to the essential techniques of custom sneaker making and construction. This is a fast-paced, accelerated program! To accomplish this ambitious goal within the compressed timeframe, you will work from a pre-designed sneaker pattern template as your starting point.

You will choose from three different sneaker styles: low top, mid top, or high top construction. You'll have the opportunity to customize your design by selecting your preferred materials and adding simple design elements, including selection of topline treatment, lace style, eyelet placement, pull tab design, and topstitching details.

We recommend upgrading to our comprehensive 5-day shoemaking course if you're interested in creating more elaborate and complex designs beyond the basic styles covered in this program. Due to the tight timeframe of the three-day course, shoe lasts will not be modified, and all participants will work with standard MORGAN lasts throughout the program.

  • Day 1 (Complete Day): Learn pattern construction and design, cut your selected leather materials, and begin the stitching process
  • Students will select their preferred leather from our complete leather selection library. All materials are included in your tuition. If you prefer to shop for your own specialty leathers, you are welcome to do so on your own time and budget.
  • Day 2 (Complete Day): Finish stitching all seams, begin the lasting process to shape the shoe. Complete lasting operations, install heel counters, and toe reinforcements.
  • Day 3 (Complete Day): Apply the cupsole base, use specialty Speedy Stitching machines, or work with the sidewall stitcher for finishing.

Upon completion of the three-day intensive, you will leave with a completely custom pair of sneakers that you created yourself!

We recommend registering well in advance to ensure we have all the necessary materials available in your correct shoe sizes. Your course tuition includes all tools and supplies you will need.

Refund Policy

All classes and workshops are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Class Make-up Policy

For multiple-day classes, if you have to miss a day, you are responsible for getting the information that will catch you up on missed information during the class hours. Any additional time you will need to finish the project due to your absence shall be signed-up as a studio-hour session at a $150/day rate.

We take your safety seriously. With COVID-19, circumstances may change quickly, at the last minute. Please communicate with us, if you are traveling from afar. We expect that you will be healthy, and that if you feel sick slightly, you will let us know and we will postpone the course. We will have hand sanitizers, surface wipes, we will wash hands frequently, and each student will have their own tool box to use during the course. Any shared equipment will be cleaned in between use.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
