Class Description

Description

Transform your living space by creating the perfect personalized pillow. Learning to sew pillows of various sizes and shapes while adding decorative fringe is a wonderful way to add color, texture, and personality to any room in your home.

This class is ideal for beginners who are comfortable using a sewing machine. You will learn essential pillow-making techniques and walk away with a completed pillow you have created. Additionally, we offer pre-cut pillow supply kits available for purchase at $20 each, allowing you to take home a matching kit to create an additional pillow at your own pace. The first pillow you make in class is included in your course fee.

During this class, you will master:

  • All essential sewing terminology and equipment usage
  • Two fundamental stitches and seam finishes: the straight stitch and zigzag stitch
  • Proper installation techniques for trims, including pom poms and other decorative elements on pillows

Projects and Supplies: You will complete one throw pillow cover with an envelope closure and decorative trim. All necessary sewing kits and fabric supplies are included in your registration fee, allowing you to focus entirely on developing your skills.

Great workshop, simple and fun. Small group class so it felt like a 1:1 class at times. Looking forward to more!

Terrific class and wonderful instructors. I couldn't have been more pleased - plus, I came away with not only a lovely pillow but also a new set of skills.
  • Pillow Workshop

I learned a lot and had a great time! The instructors were very knowledgeable and I was allowed to ask as many questions as I wanted. Well worth the time and money. Can't wait to take another class.

Great instructor, I left with a finished pillow!

  • Pillow Workshop

The venue is great, and the instructor was helpful. However, the patterns provided for the pillows were really really limited in variety, and it was a dash to try to get the least ugly one first. They were clearly the cheapest cloth available that didn't sell. If you're hoping to actually use what you're making in this course, then it's definitely not worth it. But as a standalone learning experience it was good.
