Description

Our Alterations and Mending Workshop is a class for anyone who wants to refresh and update clothing they already own. Learn how to mend garments, shorten hems or sleeves, or take something in a little bit. 

Join us once or come weekly to keep working on different projects and building your skills over time. Bring a few garments you’d like to work on, and our instructors will help guide you through the best approach for each one.

Project: Mend or alter your pre-made garment

Supplies: Bring a few garments you’d like to work on. This class can be done by hand or with a sewing machine.

Course Duration: 3 hours

Prerequisite: Sewing Machine Basics, Sewing 101, Sewing 101 Bootcamp, or previous sewing experience.

Refund Policy

Cancellation / Reschedule / Refund Policy:

  • You must give at least 3 business days notice to cancel or reschedule your enrollment in the Regular Classes
  • 24 hour cancellation policy for Private Classes
  • Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds
  • In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount

    It’s a lovely vibe and a great course. I think I was more remedial than I thought and was afraid to help! Consider a warm up for everyone interested and sharing what others are doing so we can learn from each other as well. My teacher was so incredibly talented and I really recommend this place.

    The class was so much fun. We totally benefited that it was only four people in the class with two instructors. They were both really knowledgeable and also met us where we were at. I have a decent amount of sewing experience while someone else in the class had none and had to learn how to thread the machine. The two other people had taken previous sewing classes and needed reminders and educational how to do new things and the instructors were great with all of us. I brought a really ambitious project and they both worked with me to get me in a direction that I would be happy with. The class totally reignited my love of sewing, and they even talk to me about what sewing machine I should buy. (I did buy one that night) I learned a lot of fun, tricks and tips and also unlocked a memory on how to fill a bobbin. I totally recommend this class for people who want to learn how to sew and how to alter their own clothes.

    If I had more skills it would be perfect. My inabilities to do basic things was a problem in completing my project. I do think I will be able to alter tops a bit better with the techniques given. It was a good class but maybe too short.
