Description

In this workshop, you'll learn basic garment sewing techniques. Skills you will gain include: taking your body measurements, translating them to fabric, cutting, pinning, sewing seams, pressing, creating a casing for elastic, and hemming. 

Level: beginner, with some previous experience using a sewing machine.

Instructor: Diana Rodgers 

Required Supplies*:

  • Fabric- 2 yards of woven fabric such as quilting cotton or linen
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Straight pins
  • 18" ruler (or longer)
  • A marking tool, such as tailor's chalk, water soluble marker, pencil, or colored pencil
  • Measuring tape
  • Notebook or notes app

*all supplies available for purchase in the shop. 

School Notes:

Note: Please have a general knowledge of sewing and for classes that include machine sewing, please have experience using a machine.

Refund Policy

We offer store credit to be used toward a future class if notice is given at least 72 hours before the class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
