Description

Master the table saw and find out why it is the most loved--and feared--tool in the shop. In this three-session class we will cover essential table saw techniques and safety while doing a fun and practical project: building a hardwood picture frame with keyed miter joinery.

In addition to gaining confidence on the table saw, you will learn how to make accurate and repeatable miter cuts and keys with purpose-built jigs, how to set up and use a dado set, miter joint glue-up techniques, and quick and easy finishing methods.

Q&A

Q: Is this class safe for pregnant women?
A: Yes, it's very safe. We have respirators available for both dust and finishing fumes.

Wear shop-appropriate clothing - comfortable shoes and no loose or hanging items.

Bring a pencil and paper to take notes (optional).

Refund Policy

We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue any class, in which case you may choose to receive a refund, register for an alternate course or receive tuition credit.

To withdraw from a class, please notify us in writing at [email protected].
  • If you withdraw more than ten days before a class begins, we will refund 100% of tuition paid minus a 5% processing fee. Alternatively you can receive 100% refund in Makeville store credit which can be applied to a future class.
  • If you withdraw less than ten days before your class begins, we cannot offer any option for refund.
We are unable to refund tuition for classes students miss due to their own circumstances.
