Reviews for Coffee Classes in NYC

Coffee Classes in NYC are rated 4.4 stars based on 209 verified reviews from actual CourseHorse.com purchasers.

  • I loved this Coffee & Cupping Intro I honestly learned so much about the process in which coffee is made, the different types of grains; even the different roasting levels + The cupping was so much fun! We tried some of their signature coffees and some of their single origins too! 100% recommended :)
  • The class was very informative. I learned many things about how coffee gets prepared before it arrives to us the way how we see it in the market. I also learned why and how different coffees taste differently. The instructor was an expert and was able to answer all of our questions. I wish the class included teaching how to make different types of coffees such as espresso, French press …etc but I guess that was a different topic that others may prefer to be in a separate class.
  • Our class was educational as coffee is one of the most versatile subject known to man. It was a coherent matter. Cara gave a fairly coherent rendition of the topic, well performed. We love our experience.
  • The course was incredibly fun and informative. Loved the attentiveness and passion from the hosts. Am definitely interested in signing up for future courses and would happily recommend Coursehorse to others.
  • Latte Art Intro

Great workshop in a super cozy environment! The instructor was very easygoing and was making sure that we understand every single step while we create our own latte art designs!
  • Latte Art Intro

Amazing environment! Good class for beginners in latte art! Justin was a very good instructor!
  • Great class, tutors were both very knowledgeable and it was a great learning experience, highly recommended!
  • Latte Art and Barista Skills Workshop

Excellent Instructor, interesting information, useful information, clean and friendly environment.
  • Make Every Drink

Awesome class! Learned so much! Instructors were very nice and patient!
  • Excellent! Roasted 3 batches with the small drums roaster, cupping the batches with the production batch, take all the roasted beans home to enjoy!
  • Latte Art Intro

This was a fun class and definitely good to learn more about coffee and practice some fun skills in latte art!
  • Very impressive. The instructor is very knowledgeable. He can tell if the farmer changed fertilizer or an insect nested on a branch.
  • Latte Art Intro

Thanks to Jessica, my wife and I had a great time learning how to make espresso and practicing different designs for latte art. It was our first time trying it out and we got to learn so much with Jessica's help. She was very patient, kind and informative. We would highly recommend this course!
  • Great class, great teachers, very interactive and knowledgeable. I was so tired from intense mon-fri work but the class was so well delivered. Thank you so much!
  • Make Every Drink

It was great!! The teacher was very patient and answered all questions we had. She even stayed for extra time to show and teach us more as well as let us made our latte on our own to test out our skills. I love it! I will consider to take more classes with Procreate Coffee.
  • Jake and Marissa were great teachers!
  • Make Every Drink

I like it this course, I learned how to make caffee. I wish I could get a certificate in attendance.
  • Best Class ever Keyla is the best instructor Thank you
  • Ed made this class so interesting and fun! We learned about roasting and tried our different roasts, and Ed shared interesting stories about his experiences in coffee roasting and sourcing. I really loved this class!
  • Great class to take for an introduction to the intracacies of steaming milk and latté art! I won't forget what I learned during the class and it was fun to practice the technique. One thing that could be improved upon would be a bit more time to practice all the techniques we learned, but I'll just have to come back :-). The class size is kept very small, allowing direct interaction and helpful feedback from the teacher.
  • Had a great time in this course and learned a lot about the coffee business, in addition to brewing methods and production process. The instructor was very knowledgeable, friendly and communicative.
  • This was a great class. Ed the instructor was super cool. Very informative. I'm considering taking more classes. Rome from BK.
  • It was very informational and hands-on. The most of the students were coffee enthusiasts were like me. The only feedback I have is that he teachers were able to deliver what they have learned within the realm of the company, but sometime I felt that they lacked depth in their knowledge, and was not able to address some of the questions the students have. Especially, when it came to science of it, it would be more valuable to explain the concepts in better scientific terminology than saying "sweet stuff", "bitter stuff".
  • Awesome class with really passionate course teacher. I'd recommend anyone to take this class.
  • Very educational and hands on
  • Ed was a great instructor and could not have been nicer. Learned a lot. Great space. Just the right number of attendees.
  • This class was without a doubt the best coffee class i've ever taken. I learned so much valuable knowledge from Ed and his team, they really are a treat to listen to and learn from. Ed took us through every stage of the roast and goes at a great pace so you can easily follow along. We learned not only the basics of how to roast, but also the reason why each step is the way it is. After roasting, we cupped our own roast and it was so eye opening to learn how different characteristics affect the roast. Great class, can't say enough about how awesome Ed is. I'll definitely be continuing my training with him.
  • I had a great time with the class. The instructors were great and informative. I'm looking forward to my next class
  • It was much more than I was expecting. Every aspect of basic technique was covered. John and Casey were great teachers who watched, corrected, and coached the group through every section. I highly recommend this class.
  • I love the barista classes so much.the teachers are so professional and nice.they teach me step by step.finally I can make the espresso myself.thats amazing.
  • We have two teachers, Elia and Jonathan. They are so great. I had not much knowlege about espresso but they taught me all necessary knowlege and techniques enthusiastically, generously and patiently to make espresso, steam milk, latte art in such a short period.
  • Really great class, they even offered extra sessions on Wednesdays to help us practice the skills that we learned the previous classes. The instructors are also pretty easygoing and funny, which made the time go by really quickly. They honestly want you to get better to the point where pulling a shot is as routine as brushing your teeth or something. Definitely gives you a solid foundation for being a barista.
  • Perfect class size Learn the knowledge about coffee Learn how to make a cup of coffee Learn how to taste coffee Full of fun and met interesting friends Cool
  • I loved it
  • Instructors are very nice. Class is right size. Fun and organized. You will get a lot hands on experiences. Will recommend it to everyone.
  • Lots of basic understandable information and lots of hands on to learn it.
  • Instructors were very knowledgeable and passionate about all things in the coffee industry.
  • Awesome instructor. A lot learned and much more to learn
  • The classes were fun and the instructors were really inspiring and very easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend this class to people who want to learn how to be baristas.
  • Very informative and hands-on. Had a great time there
  • The instructors were very well-informed and they've obviously taught this class enough times to find the perfect and most efficient way to teach you something, provide enough practice to feel comfortable, and have you remember it afterwards. While this was an all-day course, the hours flew by. At the end of the day, I felt confident enough in my abilities to pull a shot, steam milk, and create latte art to want to do it at home.
  • Great class and love that ModCup is in my town!
  • Barista Jam was great! We had a chance to focus on any area we really wanted to improve (dialing in, latte art) with some positive coaching along the way.
  • We had a lot of fun learning to dial in an espresso shot - a great balance of theory, technique and practice! The team was knowledgeable and the class super informative.
  • The staff was extremely knowledgeable in their craft and taught us A lot. My fiancé and I had a great time.
  • Jessica and Casey were fantastic. Jessie had huge knowledge of everything that is related to the science of coffee. Their patience and their demonstrations were wonderful. I would recommend this course to everyone. I left the course feeling confident and knowing that I am richer with one more great skill. Thank you again. I can't wait to have the opportunity to participate in a practice session in the near future.
  • After the class, I started to understand how to appreciate the drink of espresso. And the best Makiato I have had in the past of 20 years of my coffee drinking history is made by the teacher from the class. I really appreciated their good teaching and being patient.
  • great primer to coffee and basics of brewing. coffee was so good too!
  • Very informative! Got all my questions answered! Delicious coffee!
  • Nick the instructor was knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. Honestly, I don't know how "incredible" a 45 minute coffee class can be, but the instructor was awesome and we learned a lot.
