In Explorations in Acting II class, students will further their script analysis skills by reading a full play. Students will then take a deeper dive into The Barrow Group tools via working on scenes from this play. Throughout the course, students strengthen their storytelling skills while learning how to listen, collaborate, and make meaningful choices in their work. The class culminates in an open class presentation for friends and family, where students share scenes developed during the session.
This class teaches The Barrow Groups unique approach to storytelling and introduces students to the same core tools used by the professional actors who train and perform with us. We believe that to act is to play, and that students learn best in an atmosphere of creativity, curiosity, and positive reinforcement.
What sets The Barrow Group apart from many other acting studios is our commitment to teacher training. All of our instructors have completed an intensive training program and have spent years studying and practicing our approach. When your child takes a class at The Barrow Group, they are learning from a teacher who is deeply grounded in our methodology and dedicated to helping each student grow as an artist.
Because new material and tools are introduced each session, these ongoing classes can be taken multiple times, allowing students to continue developing their skills, confidence, and artistry.
Prerequisite: Student must have completed Tween Explorations in Acting I and/or a 1-Week Tween Acting Camp.
