In this afternoon class, young artists ages 6-12 will dive into the world of ceramics and other creative projects. Focusing on hand-building with clay, kids will explore different themes through various art, design, and craft processes.
Experimentation is a key component of each project, encouraging children to discover their unique creative expression. Through this process, they will develop problem-solving skills, artistic techniques, and a deeper understanding of the materials they work with. Alongside their ceramic creations, they will also engage in printmaking, collage, and fiber arts.
Kids will experience the joy of creating in a collective arts center and learn to incorporate diverse skills into their creative process, such as starting and maintaining an art journal. Each semester ends with an art exhibition showcasing the students' work.
We provide a safe space for children to express their creativity. As a minority and woman-owned venture, we prioritize community building, promoting diversity and fostering ecological awareness. We believe in the power of art to spark meaningful conversations and connections.
Note: No class on the Week of Thanksgiving.
