In this engaging sewing and fashion design class, young learners will explore their artistic creativity while developing fundamental sewing techniques and fashion design concepts. Through hands-on, interactive projects, students will work with various fabrics, colors, and textures, building fine motor skills and strengthening their ability for self-expression. Younger children will begin with simple, no-sew projects such as decorating paper dolls with fabric clothing and creating outfits for dolls and teddy bears with teacher assistance. Older students will progress to learning basic hand and machine stitches, creating accessories and toys, and designing wearable items, including skirts and tops. As learners advance, they'll build confidence, discover their personal style, and develop pride in their handmade, custom creations.
