Ready to take your sewing to the next level? If you have already completed our kids' camp or after-school program and want to keep creating, this is the class for you! The Advanced Level Sewing and Fashion Camp builds on your existing skills with all-new projects every session, so there is never any overlap if you sign up for multiple weeks.
Fabric and Supplies: All project supplies will be included and shipped to you upon enrollment. Students will also need a sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins, a ruler, colored pencils, a mechanical pencil, and magazines suitable for cutting up to use in mood boards and collages, along with poster board.
Projects: New sewing and fashion design projects are introduced each week, so returning students always have something fresh and exciting to work on. The focus is on current trends in fashion sketching, garment construction, and accessories design.
Ages: 9 to 13. This level is designed for students who have previously taken our camp or classes and are comfortable using a sewing machine.
Course Structure: Five days of classes, organized into three daily blocks: 10:00 to 11:00 am for sewing, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm for fashion sketching and mood board development, and 12:00 to 1:00 pm for a lunch break (a runway show link will be provided to enjoy during lunch). The afternoon block from 1:00 to 2:00 pm is dedicated to hand embroidery. All class sessions are recorded, and recordings can be requested after each class if you need to rewatch a project or catch up on something you missed.
Prerequisite: Virtual Fashion Camp, our kids' after-school program, or equivalent prior sewing experience.
