Description

Our after-school crafting and sewing program welcomes children with opportunities to explore creative techniques and develop practical skills. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 PM, with all supplies and projects prepared daily for students to enjoy crafting and sewing activities. Seasonal and holiday-themed projects ensure year-round engagement and fun. Students are grouped by skill level and age to optimize learning.

Advanced Group (Ages 11 to 14):

  • Guided shopping experience at Mood Fabrics with instructor support
  • Learning fabric selection and design principles for personal style
  • Cutting and constructing garments using commercial sewing patterns of your choice
  • Pattern-making techniques and approaches
  • Creating custom patterns by tracing and modifying existing clothing
  • Zipper installation and advanced closures
  • Fashion design fundamentals, including sketching and creating mood boards

Program Features:

Students in the advanced group will participate in a Mood Fabrics shopping experience to select their own materials. Additionally, we work with Manhattan schools to offer this program directly at your child's location. Contact us for more details about school-based options.

Refund Policy

Cancellation / Reschedule / Refund Policy:

  • You must give at least 3 business days notice to cancel or reschedule your enrollment in the Regular Classes
  • 24 hour cancellation policy for Private Classes
  • Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds
  • In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount
