A demonstration and discussion on how to propagate houseplants. Learn to clone your plants for yourself and your friends.
Looking to connect with your houseplants on a new level? Ready for more than just watering, light and fertilization?
Learn to propagate your houseplants with confidence. Breeding plant specimen is a fascinating way to create more plants, grow your indoor jungle, and share plants with friends and loved ones. Why are certain plants more easily propagated in one method vs. another? Why would a plant want to propagate/clone itself? How does this actually happen? What methods can we use at home to be successful when propagating? In this class we’ll cover how to prune/create a cutting, propagate by division, and propagation in soil vs. water. We will cover what works for some plants and what doesn’t for others, and you'll walk away with the tools you need to propagate like a pro.
Class Summary
During the class we will cover three methods of propagation. A demonstration will be offered with each method and participants are encouraged to follow along or observe and take notes. At the end there will be a Q&A for any further questions on propagation.
