Clown Level 2: Unearthing Your Clown

In this level-two clown class, you will discover that anything can become the material of the clown's performance.

Building on the foundational skills developed in Level 1, this course guides you to explore the most vulnerable and personal aspects of yourself, amplifying them to absurd and hilarious proportions. You will identify authentic pieces of your personality and develop creative, loving, and silly ways to explore and present them. You will also study the status dynamics that define the 1 and 2 clown roles and will practice embodying both identities, gaining versatility in your comedic performance.

Through examining your relationship to everything around you, you will understand that you yourself are the clown. By the end of this course, you will possess the tools and confidence to begin constructing your own original clown show.

This class culminates in a final class show.

Prerequisite: Clown Level 1 at BCC or equivalent clown training experience
