Class Description

Description

Broken Box Mime Theater invites artists from all backgrounds to explore the power of physical storytelling and audience imagination as your primary artistic medium. Working within BKBX's distinctive American narrative mime tradition, you'll study body language, foundational mime techniques, staging and metaphor, and the principles of devised theater. Throughout this series, you'll investigate how precision, efficiency, and specificity in physical performance enhance comedic timing and emotional impact.

As you develop your skills, you'll create original mime pieces that showcase what you've learned. These works will be presented in a final showing, giving you the opportunity to share your artistic growth with an audience. This class welcomes students at all experience levels, from complete beginners to those with prior performance training.

Important Note:

Classes may end up to 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, depending on enrollment numbers.
