Improv Level 3: Advanced Scene Dynamics

This advanced improv course builds on the techniques you've mastered in Level 2, training you to become a versatile ensemble performer capable of creating organic long-form pieces while maintaining awareness of the show and audience experience. By layering sophisticated improv techniques onto fearless, committed performance, you will learn to ground your characters authentically so they feel believable, and use unexpected developments to keep scenes engaging and surprising for your scene partners. You'll develop a deep understanding of the dynamics that shape three-person and group scenes, learning how to augment and balance multiple points of focus onstage while keeping the narrative compelling. Throughout the course, you'll cultivate the skill of staying present and grounded even while managing all these elements simultaneously.

Beyond technical training, this class encourages you to explore the areas you typically shy away from and to discover what makes you unique as a performer. Through personalized notes and individual challenges, you'll build on your strengths and expand your range. The course culminates in a public performance where you'll showcase your growth and newfound ensemble skills.
