Description

This 4-session intermediate improv course, or optional 2-session intensive format, provides deeper training than a standard intro class while requiring less time commitment than a full 12-session Level 1 course. You will explore the fundamental principles of improvisation through engaging games, basic scene work, and our school's signature character-based approach to the art form.

The course focuses on these essential components of improvisation:

  • Connecting and communicating authentically with scene partners
  • Active listening and maintaining present-moment awareness
  • Building blocks of scenes, character emotions, and consistent characterization
  • The "YES, AND" principle and collaborative scene building with a positive, generative orientation

All classes maintain a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere where you can build confidence and have fun while developing your improv skills. This course is ideal for students seeking solid foundational training without the extended time commitment of a longer program.

Refund Policy

PLEASE READ: INTRO PAYMENTS AND REFUND POLICY

  • You must send an email at least 4 business days before the start of the class to [email protected] stating you want to withdraw from the class and a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee will be issued within 14 days.
  • Between 2-4 business days - you will receive 50% of the tuition back.
  • Within 2 business days, any cancellations or no-shows will result in a forfeit of your entire payment.

We do not offer refunds for Intro Classes, however, we do offer the option to reschedule for another session.
