This class will offer two things in one: a deep dive into ear training and music theory fundamentals, and an application of these through harmony singing. We'll spend time learning musical scales, recognizing and repeating intervals, building chords together, and, yes, even sight-singing from musical notation (It's fun! You can do it!) Then, we'll apply these skills to harmony songs so you can practice holding a melody line against a harmony, learning harmony parts by ear or notation, and even creating your own harmonies. We'll draw on a range of close harmony styles to get our ears and voices working, and you'll build up your ensemble singing skills as you work in both large and small groups. If you can hold a tune, want to explore harmony singing, and would like to demystify the idea of "music theory" and find out what it might mean to you as a singer - this class is for you!
The school reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration.
If the school cancel a class due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will be notified by email and/or phone before the class start date, and we will issue school credit. If you would like a refund, you must contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a refund. In the event of a canceled class, we would love to help you find an alternate instrument to learn!
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
