Sunday Sing: Harmony and Technique for All Levels

Join us for a weekly session of soul-filling harmony and communal singing as spring emerges and warm weather returns. Each session begins with a warm-up that emphasizes various aspects of vocal technique, helping you feel free, open, and ready to sing. You'll explore round and part singing as a group, then progress to harmony singing, where you'll master the tools for harmonizing with ease.

Throughout the course, you'll develop ear training skills, learn to pick out harmonies by ear, sing songs from different U.S. and world harmony traditions, improvise harmonies in the moment, and incorporate vocal technique tips that help create truly resonant music. While some musical notation will be provided for learning purposes, reading music is not required. This class welcomes beginning through intermediate-level singers and will be tailored to offer something meaningful for everyone.

For this session, we'll perform a mix of new songs and familiar favorites, with deeper dives into a few pieces we can really polish together. Some participants may have the opportunity to work on songs in small groups for those who are comfortable doing so, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
