Discover the art and science of natural perfumery in this immersive foundational workshop where you will create your own signature fragrance to take home. This experiential class combines sensory exploration, historical context, and hands-on fragrance composition, allowing you to develop a bespoke fine fragrance tailored to your unique preferences.

Throughout this workshop, you will:

  • Explore the historical evolution of natural perfumery and develop familiarity with our extensive library of natural scent ingredients
  • Learn to navigate olfactory families and note classifications while discovering how different extraction methods influence a scent's character
  • Master fragrance architecture by understanding the interplay and balance of top, middle, and base notes in perfume composition
  • Connect perfumery to cultural traditions across civilizations while exploring the fascinating science of olfaction and sensory perception
  • Understand how individual skin chemistry affects fragrance expression and discover the concept of sillage, the invisible scented trail a perfume leaves behind

You will participate in guided sampling sessions featuring signature natural ingredients from our carefully curated collection, bringing theoretical knowledge to life through direct sensory experience. By the end of the workshop, you will apply your newfound expertise to formulate your own signature fragrance, departing with a 15ml bottle of your unique botanical creation.

We house one of the world's most comprehensive collections of natural perfume raw materials, including:

  • 130+ therapeutic grade essential oils, absolutes, concretes, resins, and isolates sourced from more than 40 countries, spanning all major olfactory families
  • Plant-based "leathers" and "musks", exquisite and rare woods, exotic flowers, earthy root extractions, juicy fruits, ripe berries, invigorating citrus, verdant grasses, balsamic resins, decadent gourmands, enlivening spices, and comprehensive selections for all preferences
  • Choice of oil base with roll-on applicator or traditional perfumer's alcohol base with spray atomizer
  • Optional decorative dried botanicals and semi-precious gemstones to infuse into your oil-based fragrance at no additional cost

Refund Policy

Workshop registration is non-refundable.

If you register for a workshop and become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use towards any future event if you notify us 6 business days in advance of the scheduled date.

Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to in-store merchandise purchases.

If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    I really enjoyed the class and left with a perfume that I had created. The one thing I would suggest is to have a longer time for the workshop. We could have used another 30 minutes or so.

    The classroom was very clean, all the oils were properly labeled. Her illustration on oil extraction origin and scent strength were very precise. I don't even remember her name, which she did told us but through my eyes, her charisma wasn't about herself. Her sole performance was to educate us in the art of scent blending. As you can see, I did enjoy that appreciated time in that classroom. She was very professional from start to finish.

    I attended the class with my 11 year old granddaughter. We both enjoyed it very much. It was both fun and interesting. The teacher was knowledgeable, personable and very patient with our questions.

    The class was very exciting. I was surprised how engaged everybody got about all the scents and assembling their own! Everyone was so proud of the scent they created! There was no ventilation so the air got quite thick at the end, the screen was way to small to follow the presentation and there was no back support on the seating.
