This specialized two-day training course is designed for skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other professionals who may encounter asbestos during their work. The course provides the essential education required when performing preparatory tasks or ancillary work on asbestos projects. If your occupation involves tasks that could potentially disturb asbestos materials, you must complete this certification to work legally and safely on project sites.
Regulations require that any person performing limited or special tasks in preparation for an asbestos project, such as a carpenter, electrician, plumber, or any similar occupation, as well as any individual who may incidentally disturb asbestos during employment, must obtain and carry a valid restricted asbestos handler certificate for allied trades. You must maintain possession of this certificate, or an official copy, at all times while working on any asbestos-related project.
