Description

Mold Abatement Worker is an intensive two-day course required for workers who perform any type of mold abatement work in any capacity while employed by a licensed mold remediation contractor. New York State regulations mandate that individuals performing mold abatement work be trained as certified mold abatement workers through an accredited training program.

Upon successful completion of this course, students must submit an application to the New York State Department of Labor Licensing Unit to obtain their professional license.

Course Content:

  • Introduction to relevant regulations and legal requirements
  • Indoor air quality standards and associated health effects
  • Hazard communication protocols and procedures
  • Workplace hazards, including personal protective equipment, asbestos awareness, confined space safety, and related concerns
  • Mold remediation containment strategies and air filtration systems
  • Work practices for removing, cleaning, and treating mold contamination
  • Hands-on practical training in work area preparation and containment setup

Refund Policy

  • To receive a full refund less 5% cancellation fee, email us at least 6 business days prior to the course start date.
  • If course cancellation request is received in less than 6 business days a service charge of $50 will be deducted.
  • However, substitutions and transfers to a subsequent course are permitted at any time.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course for any reason, including insufficient enrollment.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
