This class will be held at the beautiful New Leaf Yoga Studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
In this workshop, we'll explore writing as an art form that often lies in contradiction: structure and no structure, movement and stillness, wildness and tameness. Utilizing yoga, heart opening exercises, African dance and movement we will tap into the depths of our creativity. You will leave the workshop with a range of practical tools, a broader perspective and renewed sense of your own writing and artistic potential.
Invite greater aliveness into your writing practice as we explore wild mind – that raw, hungry, curious place that is the source of our best and most authentic writing.
Whether you are a writer, seeker, artist, dancer, yogi or just interested in creative expression, this class is for anyone who wants to expand their creative potential and unleash their "wild mind" onto the page.
This class is taught by Nina Chanpreet Kaur and Jennifer Mattson who have studied with and assisted writing workshops with Natalie Goldberg and Julia Cameron. Pilin Anice from Afro Flow Yoga will be the yoga instructor.
