About Astor Center

Astor Center is an educational hub housed directly above Astor Wines & Spirits. The launch of Astor Center came in 2006, when Astor Wines & Spirits moved from its original location at Astor Place, where it had been for 50 years, to its new home in the historic De Vinne Press Building on Lafayette Street. Astor Center is a state-of-the-art tasting room and learning facility designed to grow our community's love of unique wines, craft spirits, and perfectly concocted cocktails. Our public programming creates a rich environment where education and entertainment coincide.

This class was incredibly helpful to learn much beyond the basics of cool climate wines, and very enjoyable. The space was gorgeous, the host was very skilled and you knew he was a master of their craft. Some people were more knowledgeable already, and others had no clue (us), but we left with lots of new information we still remember, cherish even a year later!
