About Joe Coffee Company
Joe was founded in 2003 as a singular specialty coffee house in Manhattan’s west village with the simple vision of brewing the highest quality, unique coffees and serving them with unsurpassed hospitality and knowledge. In order to bring such highly curated coffees to our customers, we worked alongside some of the most renowned domestic and international roasteries. With the July 2013 launch of our own roasting operations in red hook, Brooklyn, we now roast 100% of our own single-origin and blended offerings. whether in the roastery or in one of our now 10 cafes, we strive to effect our deeply rooted core value proposition: the desire to build, maintain and strengthen community at every level from producer to customer.
We strive to be a source of information and experience for coffee enthusiasts of all varieties. Join our lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on classes to explore brew methods, milk crafting, coffee processing and evaluation.

Introduction to Coffee & Cupping
I loved this Coffee & Cupping Intro I honestly learned so much about the process in which coffee is made, the different types of grains; even the different roasting levels + The cupping was so much fun! We tried some of their signature coffees and some of their single origins too! 100% recommended :) -
Introduction to Coffee & Cupping
The class was very informative. I learned many things about how coffee gets prepared before it arrives to us the way how we see it in the market. I also learned why and how different coffees taste differently. The instructor was an expert and was able to answer all of our questions. I wish the class included teaching how to make different types of coffees such as espresso, French press …etc but I guess that was a different topic that others may prefer to be in a separate class. -
Latte Art Skills
It was a wonderful class. I really enjoyed it. Furthermore, the class was beyond my expectations. I learned even the anatomy of the milk, how was that!! If you guys open the barista class let me know. -
Home Brewing
overall the class was very informative and interesting. the best part of the class was getting to use the different coffee methods. in a group of 4 people we each got to choose one for hands on experience. the reason this isn’t a 5/5 experience is because the structure of the class could accommodate lower attention spans better by mixing up the length of time spent on the lecture and getting hands on experience with the methods. The first 1.5 hours of the experience was very reliant on a presentation and text heavy. The second part of the class focused on making the coffee. One suggestion could be to break up the coffee making methods mid-presentation. -

Excellent class - very well taught and it worked really well despite being entirely virtual -
Virtual Coffee Tasting
I got this virtual cupping class for my husband’s birthday and we both loved it! We each learned a lot despite the disparity in our coffee knowledge...him an avid coffee drinker and me not at all. The instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to get the whole class engaged despite the virtual format. We learned to appreciate the differences in smell and taste with dry grains to brewed coffee and in different temperatures. We also learned a lot about the regional and varietal differences for coffee. This was so much fun and informational so highly recommended! -
