Class Description

Description

Forget "one size fits all." In this unique handbuilding workshop, we’ll move beyond the standard cylinder. You’ll learn to construct a sleek cup from clay slabs, then—the best part—you’ll literally leave your mark. By gently squeezing the clay, you’ll form a custom grip that fits the unique contours of your hand. It’s not just a cup; it’s a physical record of your touch. Taught by Damaris Swass.

Students will have the choice of glaze color (we will do the glazing for you) and all pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 weeks after the class date.

Please note:

  • The student firing fee is $0.07 per cubic inch which covers the cost of bisque and glaze firing.
  • Your final pieces will be ready for pickup 1-2 weeks from the last class.

Refund Policy

For 6 & 8-Week Courses and 3-Week Intensive Courses

Due to our small class size we need to have the following cancellation policy:

  • Refund requests made up to two weeks before the start of class are refundable less a $25 transaction fee.
  • Refund requests made up to one week before the start of class are 50% refundable.
  • There are no refunds (including credits or moving to a later class) past one week of class beginning (including no-shows).
  • Unfortunately, we cannot offer any makeup classes for any reason.

For Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding Lessons:

  • There are no refunds for missed lessons or lessons cancelled within 48 hours of your lesson beginning. Refund requests made less than a week before but prior to 48 hours before your lesson begins are 50% refundable or can be rescheduled, and refund requests made prior to a week before the course begins are fully refundable (less a $20 transaction fee*) or can be rescheduled.
  • For lessons with 2 or more people, there are no refunds if folks from your group can no longer make it or do not show up to your lesson. Please see the guidelines above regarding rescheduling your lesson if someone can no longer make the lesson and you would like to accommodate.

*Courses are subject to cancellation if not enough students sign up. In this case, students will be refunded the course fee.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
