Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.

  • If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
  • Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases
  • We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
  • Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting/ out of town instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!
  • In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

Refund Processing Fees:

  • The following only applies in the event a provider’s cancellation/refund policy allows for cancellations and a full refund, please see above or contact CourseHorse to determine eligibility.
  • In the event a class is still going to occur and a full refund is requested, and you are eligible for a full refund in accordance with the provider’s policy, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

The instructor was excellent. Her teaching method made it easy to learn to knit. Her descriptions of how to apply the needle and yarn were funny and useful and allowed you to fully understand exactly what to do. She gave personal attention to everyone who needed it. She was engaging and delightful.

The instructor was incredibly patient and explained everything in a way that made learning easy and fun. The class covered all the basics, from casting on to creating different stitches, and I was able to make a small project by the end. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I loved meeting others who shared the same interest. It was a relaxing and creative experience, and I can't wait to take more classes. Highly recommend for anyone looking to pick up knitting.

This class was really nice. The instructor was hands-on and had really high energy. I didn't realize I had to buy materials, so just plan to purchase materials in addition to the cost of the class!

Exactly what I was looking for! A great class to learn knitting basics. The instructor was so helpful and patient. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to knit, it’s much easier than trying to learn online.

The instructor was great, and I love Brooklyn Craft Co. I only wish the class size had been a little smaller, or perhaps there had been a second instructor or assistant, to minimize the time spent waiting for someone to check on how we were doing and answer questions. But I would still recommend the class anyway!

The teacher was not able to teach me. She might have been good for the other students, but for me it did not work. I am a visual learner and somewhat slow at that. She helped me about four times with the first steps, but it was a speedy Gonzales type of help. After one hour I decided to leave the class. It became obvious that I would go nowhere with the instructor. I came home, went to YouTube and learned the steps to knit. I really did not want to waste my time nor the instructor’s. Some people have no patience if you are not a quick learner and to make matters worse flying thru with the instructions does not help.
  • Knitting 101

I had such a great time in their beginner knitting class. The teacher Amelia was encouraging and really patient with each and everyone of us. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn a new craft. I left the class with a new skill and eager to come back for more classes.

Sarah was a great instructor, and Brooklym Craft Company seemed like a great space that hosts interesting classes- would definitely seek out both the instructor and the host again!
