In this course, we will start with the very basics of blowing glass and progress through different forms until students propose their own final projects. Class time will be spent with individualized instruction and a lot of time working at the bench and learning from class mates. There will also be demonstrations of a variety of forms, as well as discussions surrounding the amazing possibilities of the material of glass. Through studio time and personalized attention, students will develop their own individual understanding of how the glass behaves and reacts. You'll end the class with a completely new understanding of the material, some beautiful objects you created, and an appetite for more glass.
