Got something to say!? Say it with passion in neon lights with this intermediate neon class. From the eye grabbing restaurant signs, to mood setting locution’s of lust, the language of light is diverse and impactful. We will be focusing on bending handwritten, or script fonts in this class with hand drawn or computer generated/ altered patterns. Using the colors of the gasses in glass alone, or any other color of light, the rigid phrases of glass will illuminate the area around them with their message.
What to expect: Participants can expect to leave with 1-2 units.
With neon work, participants primarily engage in standing activities such as bending and assembling neon tubes over a torch flame. Working with glass materials requires a certain level of dexterity.
Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.
Pick-up: Neon tubes may be bombarded during class, however should processing take additional time, students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass.
