Have you ever wondered how flowers get inside glass pendants and marbles? In this weekend class, we will explore implosions, one of the most fun and addictive of all flameworking techniques. The implosion process involves using heat, gravity and optics to transform a flat pattern into a three-dimensional one. Students will use glass stringers and frit to create gorgeous pendants, marbles, and miniature paperweights of their own designs. The design possibilities are limitless, from the wildest plant you can imagine, to epic seascapes, to cosmic outer space!
