Description

This 5-day intensive workshop will focus on portrait sculpture in limestone (or alabaster). Demo pieces of a basic head in five stages of finish will be available for reference in the studio, as well as one-on-one guidance on technique and anatomy throughout the process.

Please arrive with photo reference, sketches, or a maquette of the concept for your piece - especially if you're creating a portrait of a specific person.

Participants will end this workshop with a finished or ready-to-be-finished piece.

Some stone carving experience is recommended.

Included: 10" Cube of Limestone

Overview

Days 1-2: Pneumatic hammer block-in
Days 3-5: Hand tools (hammer & chisels, rasps)

Refund Policy

Classes are non-refundable but may be transferred to another date if you notify us 11 business days prior to the start of class. Reschedule requests that are within five days of the class will incur a 10% cancellation fee.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
