Class Description

Description

Learn Tunisian crochet! If you've been wanting to learn a new way to get your crochet on, this class is for you! In just three hours, you'll learn the basics of this simple, portable craft for turning string into fabric. With a special hook, some chunky yarn, and a little basic know-how, you'll be on your way to Tunisian Crochet bliss with your own headband.

What You'll Learn:

  • Yarn and Tunisian crochet hook information
  • How to use a Tunisian crochet hook
  • How to begin your Tunisian crochet project
  • The difference between regular and Tunisian crochet
  • You'll begin making a chunky headband

Basic crochet skills are required to attend this workshop. You must be confident in the following:

  • Chain stitches
  • Either single crochet or double crochet

Materials Needed:

  • 1 size 8mm Tunisian Crochet Hook (will be available for purchase early December!)
  • 1 ball of Alpachino Merino (we highly recommend starting out with a lighter color so you can see your stitches better as you are learning)

All materials needed for class are available to be purchased at our shop in person or online as a local pick up order at a 10% student discount. Please note that within 24 hrs of registering for the workshop, you will receive a discount code for the materials needed.

Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.

  • If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
  • Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases
  • We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
  • Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting/ out of town instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!
  • In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

Refund Processing Fees:

  • The following only applies in the event a provider’s cancellation/refund policy allows for cancellations and a full refund, please see above or contact CourseHorse to determine eligibility.
  • In the event a class is still going to occur and a full refund is requested, and you are eligible for a full refund in accordance with the provider’s policy, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
