We're excited to welcome visiting instructor Tatiana Castillo, a Colombian textile artist, embroidery teacher, and author!
Embroidery on paper is one of the most creative and recent explorations in design and art. This surface needs special preparation and development, and it gives us the possibility of intervening in photos or different types of paper with colorful stitches and textures.
Participants will learn about the use of different stitches in embroidery on paper, ideal materials for this surface, ways to intervene it, and final care of the pieces.
Your registration fee includes all required materials, including a variety of papers, embroidery needles, embroidery thread, and tapes.
Please note: Due to the nature of this one-time-only event, all registrations for this special guest-hosted workshop are final; no refunds or credits will be given for cancellations. Please view our policy for more information.
No prior embroidery experience is necessary to attend this workshop, but it can be helpful! If you're a total newbie who'd prefer to ease into the world of stitching, consider joining us for Beginner Embroidery first.
All materials needed will be provided and are included in the registration fee. No need to bring anything!\
