Class Description

Description

Elevate your knitting capabilities by creating the Bria Beret, an elegant and fashionable accessory perfect for any wardrobe. This two-part workshop guides you through the complete process of knitting this intermediate-level project using contemporary techniques and detailed pattern instruction.

Workshop Overview:

Through this comprehensive workshop, you will develop skills in several essential knitting methods and techniques:

  • Knitting with the magic loop method or double-pointed needles for small circumference projects
  • Executing the cable cast-on technique with precision and confidence
  • Shaping the beret using strategic increases and decreases to achieve proper fit and structure
  • Following intermediate knitting patterns while interpreting terminology, abbreviations, and design specifications

Required Skill Foundation:

This intermediate-level workshop requires prior knitting experience. You should be confident and recently practiced in the following areas: basic knitting techniques, working in the round, casting on using any method, and binding off. The group workshop format does not include instruction on these foundational skills. If you require skill development in these areas, consider enrolling in Knitting 101 and Knitting 102 to strengthen your capabilities before joining this advanced workshop.

Materials Required:

  • One ball of Alpachino Merino yarn or Take Care Mohair
  • US Size 10.5 circular needles, at least 36 inches long for the magic loop method, or US Size 10.5 double pointed needles as an alternative
  • Two stitch markers of different colors or types for pattern clarity
  • Tapestry needle for finishing and weaving in ends

Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.

  • If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
  • Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases
  • We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
  • Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting/ out of town instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!
  • In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

Refund Processing Fees:

  • The following only applies in the event a provider’s cancellation/refund policy allows for cancellations and a full refund, please see above or contact CourseHorse to determine eligibility.
  • In the event a class is still going to occur and a full refund is requested, and you are eligible for a full refund in accordance with the provider’s policy, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
