Class Description

Description

Lingerie pattern designer Maddie Flanigan and Simplicity are teaming up with Brooklyn Craft Company to host a free meet and greet event to help you learn everything there is to know about sewing your own bras.

Maddie will help you learn the do's and don't behind sewing your own lingerie from a pattern, including an overview of proper body measurement techniques, hardware requirements, fabrication, lacing, and more. Maddie will break it all down so you understand everything you need to successfully make your own lingerie from a pattern.

In addition to sharing her bra expertise, this event will also feature pattern giveaways and a Q&A. Join us for an evening of learning, bra talking, networking, and light bites and refreshments.

Exclusive Maddie curated bra making kits will also be available for purchase during the event. The Madalynne Lingerie kits include everything you need to make the Madalynne x Simplicity 8228 pattern, including fabric, trims, and hardware for the bra and underwear set.

Refund Policy

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.

  • If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
  • Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases
  • We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
  • Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting/ out of town instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!
  • In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date (in-person or virtual).

Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

Refund Processing Fees:

  • The following only applies in the event a provider’s cancellation/refund policy allows for cancellations and a full refund, please see above or contact CourseHorse to determine eligibility.
  • In the event a class is still going to occur and a full refund is requested, and you are eligible for a full refund in accordance with the provider’s policy, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
