Description

Join this engaging hands-on session to craft and customize a wall-mounted display shelf while connecting with fellow makers. This project starts completely from raw materials; there are no pre-fabricated elements. You will personally handle every stage of construction including cutting, fastening with nails, and finishing the wood surface.

Participants gain practical experience operating professional-grade woodworking tools including the miter saw, table saw, and pneumatic nail gun. You will apply a protective finish and stain in your choice of color, then depart with a beautifully finished shelf ready to enhance your living space.

Important Guidelines:

Avoid wearing loose-fitting apparel, dangling jewelry, or hanging necklaces that could be snagged by moving equipment.
The workshop supplies all materials, safety eyewear, and ear protection; we ask that students bring their own dust masks and welcome you to use your preferred safety glasses or hearing protection.
Attendees must reach age 18 to participate independently, or be at least 15 with a supervising adult present.
Adults age 21 and above are permitted to bring wine or beer, which may only be consumed after finishing work with powered equipment.

Refund Policy

We offer full refunds for any refund requests received more than 14 days in advance of the class start date.

No refunds whatsoever are offered for same-day (24 hours before class start) cancellations or any classes that are already in progress. There are no refunds, transfers, make-ups or deferments for missed classes.

The DIY Joint reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment or other considerations. Communication for cancelled and rescheduled classes is sent via email. No refunds or credits are given for rescheduled classes or changes to instructors.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
