Knife Skills 1
I am not a cook whatsoever and I took this class on a whim with some friends and I had a great time. Chef Terrance and Lincoln made the class fun and I learned a lot more about how I can improve my cuts (and become a better prep assistant). -
Knife Skills 101
Wonderful class. Expert instructor. -
Knife Skills: The Fundamentals
My daughter and I took the Knife Skills class together, and it was a wonderful experience. This was our second class with Chef Paul. We learned how important proper knife maintenance is, and got to experience it firsthand by cutting vegetables with well-maintained knives — the difference was clear. I was familiar with many of the cutting techniques we covered, but it was nice watching my daughter learn them in the class. Chef Paul was incredibly patient and explained everything clearly every step of the way. And the food we got to enjoy at the end was absolutely delicious! -
Knife Skills

Knife Skills: The Fundamentals
Chief Paul is as funny as he is helpful. A lot!! -
Knife Skills 1
Our Instructor (Nora I believe) was awesome! I started the class by unpacking my own knives I brought and cut myself, no fault but my own and I ended the class slicing basil like a pro! Seriously, for the first time, I have children in their late 20’s and 30’s, I learned how to properly hold a knife and properly slice veggies, using the blade of the knife versus pressing down with the power of my arm and chopping. The instructor walked around to the different stations providing individualized attention to each student. We made a delicious snack, and had a very productive evening. I highly recommend this class -
Knife Skills 1
Nora was an excellent teacher and skilled chef with knives. I thought she was so articulate, her demonstrations were spot on from an instructional perspective and she was actively engaged with the participants in the class by observing and providing individual hints and tips. It was fun and memorable! I now know how to handle a knife and let it do the work versus pushing down with force. She emphasized safety, organization, such as “Keep your cutting board clear of everything except the knife you are using” and “organize your preparation of vegetable steps: right is prepped and unfinished product, center is what you are working on cutting presently and left is finished product”. Highly recommend this class and instructor! Her assistant was excellent too! So sorry I don’t have his name to share! Thanks! The Mother of the Mother Daughter Duo!!!! -

Knife Skills 2: Chicken Fabrication
that always felt intimidating way more approachable. We started with a whole bird and learned how to break it down step by step. I liked that it wasn’t just a demo — we actually got hands-on practice and the instructor came around to help everyone individually. What stood out to me was all the little tips: how to get the most meat off the bones, how to use every part (nothing goes to waste!), and even storage/meal ideas for later. By the end I felt confident I could buy a whole chicken and save money instead of relying on pre-cut pieces. The class was fun, practical, and honestly left me feeling kind of proud of myself. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to build kitchen skills or just try something new. -

Culinary Boot Camp Level I: For Beginner Cooks
Loved this course so much I'm already trying to figure out a next level of it! Even as someone who already does cook at home, especially within my culture's cuisine I learned so much in this class. In particular strong foundational things that ground you in how to think about food and cooking so that we can continue exploring ingredients and flavors beyond what we do in class. Very highly recommend! -
Six Basic Cooking Techniques
Excellent instruction and content. Friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere. -
Knife Skills 101
Erica was great! Very informative and great teaching style. -

A nice blend of relaxed hands-on experience and rigor. Al really connected with the group and left me—and others—wanting to explore more. -

Culinary Boot Camp Level I: For Beginner Cooks
The level and scope of the course were as expected and perfect for me. The instructors (Susan, and John for one session) were great, engaging and provided a lot of additional information beyond the notes and recipes we received. Being able to sit down and eat the food we prepared was also a fantastic way to end each session with the group. The size of the group was appropriate and the kitchen well set and equipped. -
Culinary Boot Camp Level I: For Beginner Cooks
Incredible experience with an expert teacher. Totally changed the way I view cooking and food and I am a much more confident home chef. So grateful for this class! -
Culinary Boot Camp Level I: For Beginner Cooks
I loved how we focused a lot on the "why" of cooking and the specific techniques rather than just making the recipe. It was also a lot of fun, Chef John was awesome and brought a lot of humor and energy to each session. -
Knife Skills 101
This course exceeded my expectations. I thought I was just going to learn how to hold a knife correctly, but I also learned how to cook without a recipe and that I have been severely under-salting my foods (no wonder nobody wants to come over for dinner). I would recommend this course to any kitchen beginner and have thought about this class every time I've stepped into my kitchen since taking it. I'm more confident in the kitchen now and am excited to learn more!
