This Masterclass will guide you into the universe of wood maturation, wood finish and in general the influence of the wood on the whisky flavor.

This will be an amazing journey that will drive the attendees step by step to decipher the various wood influences and to enjoy the refined whiskies at a great extent.

What you get:

You will enjoy 7 whiskies coming from these distilleries
  • Glenmorangie: Dr Bill Lumsden, the iconic Master Distiller, was visionary and has innovated a lot in the wood finishes.
  • Kavalan , the pride of Taiwan, more than 220 medals and awards for the whiskies of this distillery, among them, the best single Malt of the World in 2015. They have pioneered the cask strength European wood expression.
  • Balvenie: the distillery won the famous “Best Speyside Whisky” at the prestigious World Whisky Award in 2013, and have a contless number of gold medals for their expressions
  • Glenfiddich: the distillery won the 2018 best innovative ditsillery at the prestigious World Whisky Award

Along with the whisky tasting, there will be some fun learning:
  • A review of the mechanism of wood flavor transfer,
  • A learning about the initial content of the cask (Sherry, Rum, Wine) complemented by their sensory exploration.

This innovative and enjoyable experience will be entertained by Franck,international Whisky Experience Specialist.

  • There is no refund after the material is shipped. As we offer regular sessions, you can reschedule at no cost.
  • Before the material is shipped, a refund will be issued less a 15% cancellation fee. It takes around ten business days for our payment platform to recredit your account.

  • Before the material is shipped, and as the electronic handbook was sent at booking, a refund will be issued, less $100. It takes around ten business day to our payment platform to recredit your account.

For the whiskey and food experience

  • For cancellations more than 6 business days prior to the experience, there is a 15% cancellation fee.
  • For cancellations less than 6 business days prior the experience, there is a 50% cancellation fee (corresponding to the deposit).
  • Food being perishable, the potential reschedule is to be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Should the school cancel a session or a course, the student may choose between a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee or reschedule towards another date.
