Come to the Ark for a brand new showing of spectacular visionary art, clothing, ceremonial items, and jewelry handpicked and fair-trade sourced from the Amazon jungle and the Andean Mountains in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Egypt.
We will have various indigenous musical instruments such as handcrafted didgeridoos, ceremonial rattles and custom-painted shamanic drums. There will also be rare harmonic handpan Rav drums from Russia that are impossible to find in any store in the United States
The work of Alfredo Zagaceta and Moises Llerena, two master visionary painters from the Peruvian Amazon, will be on display and for sale. Alfredo and Moises visited our community last year and were trained from their teenage years onwards by the legendary shaman and world famous painter, Pablo Amaringo, in the unique visionary and mystical style of neo-amazonian art. We have a large number of Alfredo and Moises's original paintings and many beautiful prints available for purchase.
Alfredo and Moises blessed us with a large body of their work and asked us to help them share their paintings with people across the United States. This is the only place outside of the jungle to see such a large collection of original Amazonian art for sale.
Alfredo and Moises also requested for us to help them share tapestries, clothing, and fabrics created by the Shipibo people of the Peruvian Amazon, a ancient shamanic culture that has retained a sacred relationship with the natural world, which they depict through their unique visionary and sacred geometric embroidery.
- Shipibo Tapestry depicting visions from shamanic ceremonies
- Rav Drum (aka RAV Vast) is a revolutionary new instrument that fuses the concepts behind handpans (hang drums) and tongue drums (traditionally made of wood). Perfectly cut steel tongues vibrate harmoniously together to create an ethereal sound perfect for meditation, relaxation, and other mystical music experiences.
