Interpersonal Communication For Job Seekers

Looking for a new or better job this go around? Soft skills are skyrocketing in importance in an over-qualified talent pool. Let’s tap those interpersonal communication skills and level up for your next job interview.

Through interactive partner and group activities, we’ll work on polish for phone and video interviews, including setting up your computer camera and shot, dynamic voice and confidence. Then, we’ll target our active listening – nodding and smiling aside, how do you show that you’re paying attention? We’ll focus in on typical interview questions, workshopping answers and practicing style, ending with partner and group practice.

Even if you’re not looking for a job now, or on hold until we find our “next,” you’ll leave with a greater understanding of things to focus in and work on, an action plan moving forward, and practice.

Participants will need access to a computer and Zoom. You are welcome to be “on camera” as well (come as you are! We’ll be in yoga pants, most likely!). If you’re uncomfortable on camera, you’re welcome to participate via audio connection. This class is led by our Founder, Jen Brown.
