In this course, students will learn the traditional Tibetan hand-knotting techniques, explore a range of motifs, and may choose to create a wall hanging orkhaden, an intimate sitting rug. Carpet-making in Tibet is believed to have originated centuries ago, as early as 7th Century A.D. Make your own hand-woven tote bag! First you will weave the yardage for your tote on a floor loom using either traditional weaving materials or zero waste method- your choice!
