Class Description

Description

Discover the joy of creating fresh pasta from scratch in this hands-on culinary class. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced home cook, you will immerse yourself in the time-honored tradition of pasta making, experiencing the satisfaction that comes from crafting delicious homemade noodles.

During the class, you will learn the essential techniques for creating a perfect pasta dough from basic ingredients. You will then transform this foundation into beautiful, professional-quality noodles, specifically mastering two classic shapes: Fettuccine and Pappardelle. Using a pasta machine, you will produce perfectly cut Fettuccine, then advance to hand-cutting techniques for the thicker, more rustic Pappardelle.

Your hands-on learning continues as you prepare a signature Putanesca sauce from scratch alongside your fellow students. Your chef instructor will also demonstrate how to enjoy your finished pasta simply, with just garlic and olive oil, for those preferring a lighter preparation. By the end of class, you will sit down to savor a delicious plate of pasta made by your own hands. We recommend complementing your meal with a glass of wine from the venue bar to complete the experience.

No prior experience is required. We supply all equipment and ingredients, which are commonly found at local markets. Our classes are designed to be casual, instructive, and above all, fun rather than intense or intimidating. Whether you are an enthusiastic home cook wanting to participate in every step or a curious first-timer who prefers to observe, assist, and taste-test, this class welcomes all levels and learning styles.

You will be seated with your party and maintained at a safe distance from other groups. Your booking party will work together throughout the class, sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Beverages are available for purchase at the venue and are not included in your ticket price. Outside beverages may not be brought into the class. Participants must be 21 years or older.

This class can accommodate the following dietary needs:

  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

The pasta was great and the chef was knowledgable but the atmosphere was not good. It was in the back of the Fairfield Inn, the room smelled like cigarette smoke with cheap plastic cutlery and table cloths. We had to share the room with guests from the hotel who were eating their own meals.
  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

The instructor of the class, Sandro, was great. He was a great teacher, explained things well, and was very knowledgeable and friendly. However, the rest of the class was very low budget. The venue was in the breakfast section of a hotel, and the set up for the cooking class seemed rushed, not clean and disorganized. We were using plastic utensils and paper plates, which is not at all what we were expecting. I also thought that each person would be making their own pasta, not one pasta dough per couple. I wish that the class set up and venue were nicer and more organized.
  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

Clear , professional, fun and quick . Definitely recommended!

This class was so great! Loved the instructor and the assistant they were both awesome and the pasta was AMAZING and so easy to make! I had attempted to make the sauce on my own prior to this and it didn’t come out nearly as good as this one, the sauce was phenomenal. Highly recommend this class!
  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

This class was so fun!! This is the second class I've taken with Chef Sandro. Chef Sandro is extremely personable, is always walking around giving tips and advice, and he plays some great music while we prepare and cook our dishes. My friend and I are doing a 3rd class with him in June. Check out these classes, you will NOT be disappointed. The sauce we made for our pasta dish was OUT of THIS WORLD!!!

  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

It was perfect as an introductory course, and the instructor did a nice job of breaking down the concepts. The location in the hotel was a little strange, and it would have been nicer to have a bit more room to move about. Overall we really enjoyed it!

  • Fresh Handmade Pasta

Instructor was great but the class was a little bit rushed. Would be more relaxed if it was a little longer.
