Description

Cavatelli has a legendary history, with tradition dating it back to Emperor Federico II in the 13th century. This remarkable pasta shape is believed to be Italy's oldest.

In this hands-on workshop, you will discover how enjoyable and straightforward it is to prepare fresh cavatelli from scratch. You will begin by mixing the pasta dough, then knead, roll, and form each cavatelli piece by hand. Our Chef Instructor will teach you about Lazio, the central Italian region known for producing Arrabbiata sauce, and demonstrate how to prepare the sauce from scratch. You will receive practical tips and techniques for making the sauce at home, allowing you to customize the heat and spice level to suit your preferences. Once the sauce is ready, you will cook your handmade pasta and enjoy a satisfying meal created entirely from scratch.

No prior cooking experience is required. We provide all equipment and ingredients, which are simple to find at local markets or likely already in your home kitchen. This class welcomes both the dedicated cooking enthusiast who wants to participate in every step and the curious beginner who prefers observing, assisting, or simply enjoying the taste testing.

Cancellation or reschedule request has to be made at least 5 business days before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 16 business days for groups of 6 people or more.

For cancellation requests, please contact us at [email protected] in order to receive credits for booking a future class. Tickets are non-refundable.

However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place because we understand things could happen.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Leo was very kind and fun but this class needs to be held in a kitchen setting, not in the event space of a bar where there is no accessible sink. Leo makes an amazing tomato sauce!
